London Ice Cream Shop To Offer Scoops Of Frozen Breast Milk

If you've ever wondered what ice cream made from human breast milk might taste like, a London shop will soon have the answer.

Starting Friday, the Icecreamists parlor in the city's Covent Garden area will be serving up a treat they call the Baby Gaga, which blends breast milk with Madagascan vanilla pods and lemon zest.

"Some people will hear about it and go, 'yuck' but actually it's pure, organic, free-range and totally natural," said the store's founder.

The milk was provided by moms who answered a posting on an online forum.

"What could be more natural than fresh, free-range mother's milk in an ice cream?" asks one mom who sold her milk to the Icecreamists. "And for me it's a recession beater too — what's the harm in using my assets for a bit of extra cash... I tried the product for the first time today — it's very nice, it really melts in the mouth."

The curious will have to pay a hefty price for the dessert. One serving will sell for around $23.

Undefeated!

I'm not quite sure how we managed it, but my tiny little JV team ended the season on Tuesday undefeated, and league champions.  We had a tough placing game, and ended up winning the game by 4 points.  It was a great year.  My girls were funny, and sweet, and competitive, and we even managed to run the offense through a few times.  I'm going to miss them next year when they move on to 8th grade basketball.  Here's our team pic after winning league (along with managers Otis and Megan).  Go Raiders!

Happy Valentine's Day

If you've already been on my mom's blog, then this is not news to you, but my mom gave me the GREATEST Valentine's Day present ever.  She cleaned my room.  Mom, I know that had to have taken you most of the day because it was a sty! This woman, dusted, made my bed, put away my laundry, took my suitcases downstairs, organized my closet, and emptied my garbages (yes, that was plural).  She did it all.  I've been avoiding a thorough cleaning for much too long now, and was totally overwhelmed by how much effort it was going to take.  So mom, thank you.  It was the nicest thing I've come home to in quite some time.  I promise, I will do my best to keep it clean.  At least until I leave for camp.  :)

A night out

Katie and I are painting the town red...well pink... tonight.  We've been waiting for about 6 months for it to be time to use our tickets to see Legally Blond, the musical.  I saw it on Broadway a couple years ago, and Katie saw it on tv (my bad Katie).  It is such a fun show, guaranteed to leave the catchy songs in my head for at least a week.  Can't wait!

Bald eagle

I have had nothing good to post lately.  Seriously, my life is go to school, go to basketball, eat dinner, fall asleep lately.  Hence, the lack of posting.  This morning brought a little excitement into my day though.  My friend Lesley called me because she has a perfect photo-op for me: a giant bald eagle on a tree in front of school.  Seriously, it was so majestic! I snapped off a photo or 42 of this amazing bird.  So cool!
