So today was the big day. Mitchell is officially baptized. My friend Steve and I are officially godparents. The day was fantastic. Mitchelle was one of three people baptized (there was an infant, and an 81 year-old woman who became a Christian a couple months ago- she was adorable).
I'm still a bit in awe that Skip and Angie asked me, and I couldn't ask for a cuter, more perfect godson. I showed up at church this morning, and Angie asked Mitchell who I was. "That's Pia, my Cinderella," he promptly replied. Apparently, he has been calling me his Cinderella all week because he remembered that she has a fairy godmother. I pretty much melted. He does call me his godmother too, but I think I prefer Cinderella. He calls Steve The Godfather, so I'm hoping when he gets older that Mitchell gives him a horse's head just to complete the allusion. :) Steve and I have already promised that we'll come bail Mitchell out when he needs it, and that he can call us to pick him up when he can't call his parents.
Here's a couple pictures from the day (thanks Brooks for taking pictures on my camera for me).

| Mitchell's family: Pierce, Skip, Samantha, and Angie, and Steve and myself (convincing Mitchell that he needed to wait to see his cousin Brooks until after the baptism) |

| Mitchell loved the water. He asked Father Bill if he could do it again when he was done. |
