I think I've been putting off this post because I can't believe I'm actually 35. Seriously?! I certainly don't feel that old.
I celebrated the big day with an Oscar-themed party. Such a blessing to have so many loved ones (and thier kiddos) in one room. We dressed up, cheered on our favorites, or if you're Katie, you went with the obvious choices instead of your heart, and ate, drank, and were merry. The grandparents (Pat and Glo) braved the snow from Hayden Lake to join us. Overall, everyone had a great time.
I have to admit, I love 35. Other then continuing to try to lose weight, I couldn't be happier with who I am and what I'm doing. I never thought that I would be happier and more confident in my 30's then I was in my 20's, but with them 1/2 way over, I really am. I love who I am. I love my friendships. I love that I'm not scared to be myself, and that I am willing to walk away from someone or something that no longer makes me happy or fulfilled. My life is full of wonderful moments and people. I love teaching and coaching. I love having summers off to do something that makes me happy. I love that I get to spend lots of time with my mom and my sister Katie. I love that I am a little bit selfish in doing things that I want to do.
I hope this year (and the next 5), continue to be filled with family and friends. With travel and new adventures. With professional and personal fulfillment. And I hope that I see everyone of you!
