Today I got to go to my all-time favorite conference: What's New in Young Adult Literature. Not only did I get to skip school for a day, but I spent it talking about books. It was glorious! I got to have a whole hour for lunch, be surrounded by adults and have adult conversation, and did not once think about how my sub was doing during 3rd period. I'd already read a couple of the books, and definitely found some new ones I think my students will LOVE! Maybe my next job will be as a librarian, all the reading fun, none of the classroom headaches...
