Finally, a finished project

That's right people, I finished something: a hat for my friend Katie.  Maybe I should do more hats.  They knit up quick! Here is her present; I think it turned out pretty cute.

Finally, a haircut!

After Picture:

Mom and I can't believe that it really happened, but Lorraine finally let us cut little Mi
key's hair. It's only taken a year of pleading. :)  We even have photo evidence of the deed.  I have to say, he's never looked more precious, or more like a little boy.  Happy Mother's Day Lorraine, and happy Mother's Day mom.  I hope you both love it!!!!  Oh, and Cara and Katie, we dedicated the boys' haircuts to you.  Liam, Alex and RJ also gave themselves up to the clippers.  They look ready for summer too.  Here are a few pics from the big event.  Clearly, Michael is happy with his big-boy haircut.

Finally, February 28 brings a friend for Cara...

Happy birthday to the ever-lovely Megalina-Pegalina. It's hard to believe that a mere 29 years ago you were born to some VERY young parents, and became our up-the-street neighbor. Cara couldn't have been more happy to finally have a cousin who was her age (and someone to try to avoid Kip's torture with). It's probably Kip's fault that you became such a tough-nut scrumpy, a skill that served you well on the soccer field. It's hard to believe that my little scrap-noodle cousin has become such a beautiful woman and amazing mom. It's almost enough to make me hop a plane for a China baby of my own (almost...). Thanks for all the laughs, shared birthday parties, Barbie playing (Katie, you can play when we're done), comic book reading, trips for penny candy, and adventures in the gully behind our house. My childhood memories are infused with you and Kip and Cara. I'm so lucky to have grown up with you. Have a wonderful birthday today. May this year bring you even more happiness then you already know with Ryan and Hadley. May you be blessed beyond anything you've ever dreamed. And may you find joy and fun every day. Love you to pieces Fendi!

PS, More pics to come later today since I don't have any good ones here at school! I had to steal this "copy-writted" one from Hadley's website. It is my fav of the mother-daughter combo though!
