Katie and I got to see the Broadway musical Wicked last night. It was a birthday present from Katie, and I've been looking forward to it for months! Seriously, so good. The play is based on Macguire's novel Wicked (also very good), and presents the real story of a very misunderstood Wicked Witch of the West, Elephaba and her best friend Glinda. If you haven't seen it yet, go! The music was fantastic and the cast was superb (can you tell I've been teaching vocab today!)

I'm glad you girls enjoyed the show. I still can't get into that book. Don't know why, but I got bogged down about half way through and went "meh".
the book was tough mom, i agree - took me forever to get into. in fact, all of his books are that way for me... but the play is MUCH better! so fun! :)
patty and i saw wicked in richmond two years ago, and LOVED it!!! So, so, so good!!!
I heard that was a great show. We missed it last time around.
I'm seeing it with my girlfriends for my birthday too. Can't wait! I'm glad you enjoyed it!
